Yep. Im more optimistic for that part of the world.

Simply because that we have every single resource and technology to be able to do anything that we need to or want to do at this time and age. And the only reason why many things are not happening is because they would disturb profits, businesses or the existing economic order.

Any country that has no religious fundamentalist obsession with these concepts would have no problem in making anything happen. From legions of climatized underground farms lit up with artificial lighting to building underground cities to live in if need be.

The problem is not the technology, the resources or the money. The problem is how they are distributed and what they are allocated to. And in that, there is no saving West with the current mentality and the economic system it has.
