The unquestioned, unaccountable power which the tech platforms hold over people's lives and livelihoods is appalling. They can make or break people based on their own internal, unaccountable decisions. That's why I advocate them to be regulated tightly.

Once something controls millions of people's lives, it cannot stay as an unaccountable 'private' business. It becomes infrastructure and such organizations cant be let to run per private whims without legislation governing their behavior.
