Poverty exists because of the system. Education and 'opportunity' (whatever the hell that is) won't address systemic faults and make things magically better. There is no capitalist country that solved the problem of abject poverty and inequality through education. Less, through 'opportunities' because jobs just dont magically materialize as automation and technology make everything doable with much less people.

But then again, this mindset is killing the US and the countries that copy its system. That things will *magically* be 'okay', well, 'just' because. You people don't need to do anything, no sacrifices are needed to keep the society above water. You can just keep being selfish and looking for your own interest. The 'invisible hand' of the 'free market' (ie god) will 'just' make things 'okay' for you...
