OSS is not Socialism. Its Anarcho-Syndicalist communism. Therein lies the problem: AS cannot function well without there being a socialist infrastructure to support it. Notice how even modern OSS is possible with today's Internet, which is an infrastructure that is tightly regulated to maintain socialist traits like Network Neutrality.

OSS would work best in a Socialist world that already provides all the societal infrastructure necessary. From education to housing to healthcare to minimum income.
