Nutritional deficiency for toddlers and growing children is as critical as caloric deficiency. I dont think any reference would be needed to demonstrate that.
However i am also at a loss on how you transformed actual caloric deficiency to ‘nutritional deficiency’.
It says ~40 million Americans are going to bed hungry there. That’s nothing if its not caloric deficiency.
And as for people eating junk food, its because they have no choice to do otherwise.
Being a poor family, your choices are either cheap, subsidized fast food in fast food restaurants or, starving. They choose to survive. And voila — you have your obesity epidemic, people dying at young ages from numerous diseases.
But since we are talking about economic systems, again, it’s relative, and comparative. Whatever the situation in America, it is still better than eating pets in socialist countries:
With, or without the US involvement…
Despite everything, they seem to be doing fine, still.
No thanks to US.
