Truss will turn the UK into a smoldering ruin and will profit off of the process.

But there are still old institutions and conventions that govern Britain.

Those old institutions are what put Thatcher, Johnson, and now Truss, into power. Those old institutions are why the UK - not Britain - can't have an actual democracy. From the royals with actual veto power to the unelected, appointed, hereditary house of lords filled with aristocrats and theocratic appointees, and the FPTP.

Those institutions are the remnants of the aristocracy and they are what keep the aristocracy still going and making all these happen.
