During the early 1960s, when he was a student at the University of Chicago, Sanders participated in civil rights protests and activism. He served on the commission to de-segregate off-campus housing as part of CORE (Congress of Racial Equality). He led a protest to de-segregate a local Howard Johnson’s restaurant in 1962. He attended the March on Washington in 1963, and that same year, he was charged with resisting arrest during a desegregation protest, for which he was fined $25.00. He reportedly attended so many protests that his grades suffered, and he was told by his dean to take time off.

Isnt that practically what ‘Civil Rights’ movement was?

I mean, how is that ‘disingenuous’. That’s exactly what almost all people who participated in that movement did, with the exception of people who made it their life goal and job to fight racial justice.

Sanders fought for not only racial justice, but LGBT, economic justice, anti-war, environmentalism and everything else which we consider the core of liberal or left wing ideology today.

And that’s why many racial justice groups are endorsing

Trail runs out

Only for those who dont know about history, or those who have to push a certain narrative, maybe.

Because for the actual racial justice groups who have been endorsing him, the trail doesnt seem to have run out…
