Except Soviet Union provided guaranteed jobs, free housing, free childcare, free education, free higher education, free healthcare, paid vacation leave, paid maternity leave, reasonable work hours, disability, free social clubs, free hobby clubs, reasonable retirement age, reasonable retirement pay, free theater, free opera and free a lot of other stuff to its citizens. I wouldn't exactly call that exploitation.

To get and keep all such benefits like the above, a well educated, well employed white collar couple in US have to work for ~40 years. And that, without them getting the raw end of an economic crisis, being gainfully employed without interruptions. In contrast, Soviet citizens were entitled with all of those from birth. Soviet citizens were exploited because they were entitled to all these things from birth. American citizens are 'free' because they have to work for ~40 years to get them...

So go figure, how far people can get exploited by conditioning them through religious propaganda like that is done in US about Capitalism. Exploitation is freedom now.
