cPanel is left way behind the times. It cannot be horizontally scaled because its business model is set up on charging license per server. So this means there is no scaling, no HA. Even Virtualmin allows horizontal scaling for read only nodes.

Add to that the ease which Kubernetes brings, with its self-healing, self-scaling, nicely separated and organized internal resources, cPanel looks like a dinosaur.

The investment fund which bought cPanel is busy extracting maximum revenue from cPanel users to make profit on their investment. They moved to a per-account pricing model without doing anything for scaling.
