Back before Internet, what was 'undesirable' was out of sight.

So the well to do rarely saw the poor and the poverty they lived in, the conservatives rarely saw the modern people and their 'heathen ways', the educated had rarely encountered people who believe in flat earth or that Jesus will come back if the faithful cause a nuclear war somewhere and so on.

Now thanks to Internet, everyone can reach to every corner of the world, everything that was hidden before is now in plain sight. So, 'everything is going worse'.

Nope. Everything is not going worse. Aside from obvious and measure-able things like wealth/income inequality, privatization of critical social infrastructure etc, things are much better than how they were before.
